Hello everyone, and welcome back to my blog. I hope you took in some insightful information reading my last blog post, where I was talking about How Mindfulness can help you focus on your own growth. If you haven't checked it out, please be sure to do so.š
This week, I'm talking about why rejection can lead you forward.
Now we've all been there before. We may have been rejected from a job or a relationship, or perhaps you've been accepted into a university that wasn't your first choice. I mean, there are many different types of Social, Physical, and personal weāve experienced at least one or two types of rejection throughout our lives. It sucks, it stings being rejected. But you have to view rejection through a different lens. For example, if you didn't land in the dream school that you wanted to be in, don't sulk. This may push you into a different path, where you may go to a different school, which may have brand new opportunities that may further the career that you're trying to get into.
There is a popular saying that goes, As one door closes, another door opens. This is how you should view rejection, as we may not be landing the job we planned for, or even getting a raise we hoped for, and may not be accepted in the dream school you may have wanted to be in. Being rejected is an opportunity for growth in our lives it's a way for us to explore new opportunities or try even harder at the current goal we're trying to achieve.
Some of the world's greats were rejected, but managed to pivot and grow. For example, one of the world's greatest basketball players is Michael Jordan. In high school, he was cut from his basketball team. This rejection boosted him, and he now considered one of the best basketball players of all time.
Now, when you're faced with rejection again, there's no need to be stressed everything will work out. I want you to know that there will always be another path or opportunity into something great.
